25-Point Heat Tune-Up

  1. Test airflow for dangerous carbon monoxide
  2. Calibrate and level thermostat
  3. Check for combustible material around furnace
  4. Ignition System – clean and test operation
  5. Exhaust System – clean and test venting function
  6. Measure temperature differential
  7. Safety and Control Circuits – test operation
  8. Inspect and adjust fan belt tension
  9. Clean or replace the existing air filter
  10. Lubricate and clean blower motor air vents
  11. Furnace or Boiler – vacuum, brush, and inspect
  12. Heat Exchangers – vacuum, brush, and inspect
  13. Clean furnace exterior
  14. Inspect heat exchangers for cracks and wear
  15. Gas or Oil Pressure – test for peak efficiency
  16. Lubricate all moving parts
  17. Blower or Burner Motor- measure amperage and voltage for proper operation

  1. Check system for proper refrigerant charge
  2. Calibrate and level thermostat
  3. Check compressor for correct amperage, volt draw, and wiring connections
  4. Inspect condenser coil
  5. Check capacitors
  6. Check contactor points
  7. Brush out electrical cabinet
  8. Check all caps and valves for accurate fit
  9. Check thermostat operation and mounting
  10. Check blower amps
  11. Check heat strip amps, circuit components, and safeties
  12. Adjust refrigerant level (up to lib 410A only)
  13. Check blower wheel and fan blade
  14. Check all electrical connections and wires
  15. Clean or replace the existing air filter
  16. Check temperature splits
  17. Lubricate all moving parts where applicable
  18. Flush and vacuum drain line/pan
  19. Check secondary drain line
  20. Monitor air conditioning cycle
  21. Check float switch operation
  22. Clean equipment on the exterior and return air grills
  23. Inspect ductwork integrity
  24. Test emergency shut-offs
  25. Check final performance
